For this photo opportunity, I had the pleasure of photographing a car wash facility in Olathe Kansas for Homejab. It took about 40 minutes from start to finish. It was during the morning hours and car volume was low so not to disrupt business flow. Some shots required having moving vehicles in the shot and some shots required none. I had to stick to the type of car as part of the criteria. Any vehicle less than 5 years from manufacturing date. Had to be black, white, or gray and tried to avoid anyone walking into the shots.

Photographing in direct sun isn’t my favorite lighting conditions but it is my job to do what I can to make pleasing images regardless. I used mostly HDR bracketing to counteract the deep hard shadows and light glare from the metal. These shots have minimal edits in order to avoid compromising the integrity of the establishment design. Overall I can say I’m satisfied with the results.
